After all that turkey and pie, Aerohive decided to organize a Post-Turkey Day 5K the week after Thanksgiving, to get the body moving for a good cause!
We are happy to report the Post Turkey Day 5K was a huge success! We had runners from our headquarters location, as well as a few runners at remote offices who created their own event. Our goal was to raise money for our Family Giving Tree charity that we sponsor each holiday season.
Each participant could earn tickets for a raffle at the end of the race, and the more participation, the more tickets earned! Prizes included an iPad mini, gift cards, a Fitbit, and more! Tickets were earned for running the event, dressing up in Aerohive gear and apparel, giving a donation to Family Giving Tree, and for best action photo!
Here are our highlights:
- Congrats to Sarah Knauf for best photo and dress (first picture below)!
- Of course, 5K was not enough for Dean… he took a group of reps and extended the run by two miles…Jeff Tarlton was lucky to make it back alive!
- Dave Rogers battled through an early cramp and finished the route. Nice job Dave…he's never quit anything in his life.
- Thanks to Robert Biala for being our Aerohive photographer - thanks for his photos in this post!
The amount of fun was worth the two days of pain and recovery! Keep an eye out for our next event!
