Here at the Hive we had the enjoyable project of rallying the troops in order to give back this past month. We organized our annual food drive to benefit a local food bank, Second Harvest. In typical Aerohive fashion, we turned it into a contest to encourage some friendly competition and gather as many pounds of food as possible!
Our goal was to collect 450 pounds of food and we divided the Bees by team captains and assigned a point system by type of food collected in order to motivate us to bring in the "most needed" items for Second Harvest this year. Juice boxes earned the highest points (at 6 points per pack), with the lowest points (1 point per can) rewarded for canned vegetables!
Congratulations to team captain Jenni Adair, whose team earned over 1200 points and must have brought in quite a number of fruity beverages!
