What happens when a school district realizes in order to upgrade its existing Cisco network it will have to start back at square one, replacing all existing equipment, including every access point, switch and controller? Well, in the case of the Muskogee Public School District, one of the largest districts in Oklahoma, it explored other options.
It traded controllers for a solution from Aerohive and got a much more cost-effective and higher performing Wi-Fi network. Now, the District can move forward with plans for its 1:1 initiatives without excessive cost and simplified network management.
